Billings Community Foundation
is a non-profit, tax-exempt
innovative community fund governed by local citizens
promoting philanthropy and charitable giving in the Billings area.
Goals and Strategies:

The geographic focus
will be primarily Yellowstone, Carbon, Stillwater, Big Horn,
Treasure and Musselshell counties.

Our long-term goal is to
increase the assets held in unrestricted funds as well as
donor advised funds.

Billings Community
Foundation will provide cost-effective strategies and
opportunities for donors to benefit their community.

We will provide people of
both great and modest means a way to contribute to the
betterment of their community.

Billings Community
Foundation will serve both as a granting organization
from endowed funds and serve as an innovative facilitator of
charitable activities in the region.

We will provide methods
and opportunities for charitable interests to grow and thrive,
benefiting communities in the Yellowstone region through
grants, technical assistance and capacity building.

We will respond to
opportunities. We want to insure flexibility to allow for change
and growth to keep the organization viable and relevant
to the communities we serve.

Through facilitation,
education, and training, the organization will work to
increase the endowment capacity of the Yellowstone region and
serve the needs of its citizens.
